It was a good presentation with interesting topic. She paused too often in her speech, sometimes in unnecessary places. The overuse of pauses made me confused because she has long sentences and it is hard to figure out where her sentence ends. But otherwise, she was audible, and used good vocabulary. She gave presentation about the ‘Hunger Games’ and it could have been better if she focused only on the connection between the Hunger Games and reality. To me, her talking about the movie ‘Hunger Games’ and how Katniss’s face without make-ups made the movie appear realistic, seemed unnecessary. Jeong Hyun focused mostly on the media and how government could be deceiving. Considering that, removing the make-ups part could be a better choice. Also she moved back and forth between the movie and book ‘Hunger Games’. It was a little bit confusing to me. I believe the presentation will improve if she focuses on just the book ‘Hunger Games’ or the ‘movie Hunger Games.

Did the speaker talk clearly and audibly? Yes. 5. Did the speech have a definite opening, body, and conclusion? Yes. 6. Please comment on the speaker’s use of notes/eye contact. I think her eye contact is quite enough. 7. What could the speaker have done differently that would have improved the speech? I was distracted due to her pauses. She paused every short phrase even though it was a simple sentence. I would be more great presentation without it. 8. What did you like about the presentation? I think this presentation was highly well-organized with comparison and she was explaining with familiarity to the knowledge about it, so it seems like she is an expert at the topic.
